The artist's experience includes running singer/ songwriter Princes' publishing company in NYC, launching a one woman self penned theatrical show off-off-Broadway in downtown Manhattan, designing a jewelry line and later becoming certified as a yoga teacher and an advanced clinical hypnotherapist (Wellness Institute in Seattle). Cathleen is both a published author and artist.
Cathleen Klibanoff never thought she would find herself humming Sweet Home Alabama... but after 18 years of living in New York City she decided to move closer to family in Decatur. Soon after relocating she met her husband Huntsville philanthropist Daniel Klibanoff. Cathleen now lives with her husband and seven year old son in SE Huntsville.
Since moving to Alabama Ms Klibanoff has also been very involved in civic service with the non-profit Angels Among Us established by her and her husband in 2006. AAU has raised over $100,000 dollars for youth causes. As an ongoing commitment to service Cathleen volunteers weekly as a yoga instructor and teaches a food awareness class to the children at the local Montessori Learning Center.
unrelated events, emotions, actions, thoughts and memories. The end goal is to participate in the world from wholeness. Cathleen has had a successful private practice as a life coach for fourteen years conducting 'phone sessions with clients that live anywhere from NYC to South Africa.
Along with her passion for people, Klibanoff enjoys the challenge of capturing them on canvas. In the words of the artist, "I've spent the past twelve years helping people through storytelling to reconnect with what makes them happy and most often the tipping point is when they share their journey. That's why I tend to build off the canvas- to get closer," confides Klibanoff. "We are all looking for a place to feel safe and people we can call friends. There are parts of my journey that have been very public and segments of that lifetime adventure which are sacred and private. My life's work is to be a leader of relatedness, to weave a tapestry of stories and images- complimentary experiences and evolutionary partnerships," shares Klibanoff.
